Immensely comfortable and gently stylish, our delightful, idyllic cottage is the perfect haven from which to explore the rugged landscape of Highland Perthshire. Pinegrove provides outstanding holiday accommodation, fresh and bright whilst retaining character and charm.
At Pinegrove we want your holiday to be a truly wonderful experience and believe that we go a step further to ensure that you get the most enjoyment possible out of the accommodation and the outstanding natural beauty of Highland Perthshire.
You'll be greeted with a complimentary selection of local goodies including a bottle of award winning wine. We will provide a welcome pack with details of the best local walks, restaurants and other local highlights including some hidden gems.
If you want to relax and unwind you can sit in the sunny seating area in our historic courtyard savouring your morning coffee whilst getting acquainted with our resident robin. From the doorstep you can ramble or cycle in ancient woodlands or venture deeper in the foothills of Highland Perthshire and lose yourself in the majesty of the landscape. Immerse yourself in Macbeth country, take a gentle stroll by the magnificent River Tay or wander through Dunkeld and the ancient cathedral grounds.
For the young or young at heart you can try some of the adventure mountain and river activities on offer nearby. You could also try your luck with a cast on any one of the renowned salmon rivers in the area. For golf lovers Rosemount, Gleneagles or the excellent local course at Dunkeld provide just a taste of over 40 courses on offer, each providing their own distinctive challenges.
Birnam and Dunkeld are superbly located towns and a centre of artistic and musical talent. There are regular live music events at both the renowned Taybank Bar and the lively Birnam Institute. You may even catch a ceilidh! The local shop, cafes and galleries are also an excellent place to while away the afternoon.
At the end of a day full of fresh Highland air and perhaps after savouring some of the excellent local fare come home and snuggle up in front of the flickering stove. Then with our compliments indulge yourself with our bottle of local award winning wine or introduce yourself to our finest cask strength whiskey. Pick a book from the selection provided, close the wooden shutters and then retire to bed in perfect relaxation and reflect on the day's activities.
