This easy circular route follows the River Tay downstream from the mouth of the River Braan, with views across the river to Dunkeld's magnificent medieval cathedral, then under Telford's historic Dunkeld Bridge. The path the follows the Tay riverside path as it flows past the ancient Birnam Oak, a remnant of the Birnam Wood made famous in Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth’.
The Dunkeld & Birnam Path Network leaflet gives a great overview of all the paths available in the area and is available for purchase from Visitor Information Centres.
