Eastwood House is a beautifully restored Victorian villa in a stunning location on the
banks of the River Tay about half a mile from Dunkeld in Perthshire
and is available for self-catered or catered private hire
throughout the year.
Eastwood offers relaxed, informal accommodation for 18-20
adults in 9 bedrooms, 5 public rooms, a games room and large
kitchen/ dining room. It is the perfect choice for gatherings of
family and friends, special occasions and events or retreats. The
catering options are extremely flexible and you can choose to
self-cater or make use of our chefs who can provide a bespoke food
service to suit your needs.
Eastwood House is set within 8 acres of riverside gardens and
woodland and enjoys wonderful views over the river Tay towards
Birnam Wood and Hill. By arrangement, and in season, there is
access to fish for trout along the banks of the river and a rod for
salmon. It is a short, scenic, riverside walk away from the centre
of beautiful Dunkeld which lies at the gateway to highland
Perthshire in an area well known for its natural scenic beauty, its
history and culture and its proximity to a wide range of outdoor
pursuits.
The house has a rich and varied history. Originally part of
the Atholl Estates it was for many years a beautiful highland
retreat welcoming renowned guests such as Sir John Everett Millais,
Lillie Langtry, David Lloyd George, Stanley Baldwin and, most
famously, Beatrix Potter.
The house promises a magical stay for visitors in the comfort
and beauty of an historic house in this stunning setting.
Gardeners Cottage is a recently refurbished, 3 bedroom estate
cottage sitting in an elevated position within the grounds of
Eastwood House. It is available for rent throughout the year either
as additional accommodation to the main house or independently.
The accommodation is spacious, well furnished and equipped
throughout. It comprises the following;
· large living room with feature log stove
· kitchen/dining room
· 1 standard double bedroom at ground floor level
· 1 king double bedroom at first floor level
· 1 twin bedroom at first floor level
· large family bathroom at half landing level
There is also Wi-Fi, freeview TV with DVD player and gas
central heating throughout.
The cottage has own its own parking for 2 cars and a private
garden patio area. There is access to the wider gardens and woods
sitting to the east of the main house.
